things don't always go as planned ...
well though today did not quite go as I thought it would I am not giving up. I took the five rescue boys to Helen Woodward today to get their tests and enter them into their adoption program. Apparently three of the kittens tested negative but two of them tested positive for FeLV! Oh course I find this hard to believe and really think and hope this is just another false positive from the snap test. Not to mention if they honestly thought they were positive I am pretty sure they wouldn't have taken the other three??? Anyway, if I can get them both the IFA test and they are negative they will accept them at that time and with no other fees required since I already paid them the $225 today...sigh...not how I thought this would play out today at all :( Sooo, I am at home again with the mom and two of her very loving boys and will work on trying to get them each an IFA test...if only I would win the lottery :) Thank you again for all who had donated, your help has been so very much appreciated!!!

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE DONATED
My five growing boys that I rescued from the YMCA before animal control came all thank you for helping give them the chance at getting their furever homes! They are so lucky to have been accepted at Helen Woodward and tomorrow is the day I bring them there. First they will all be tested for FIV/FeLV but I fully expect them to be negative as these guys are sooo cute and healthy looking. Then after they are confirmed negative they will get their second vaccination and Helen Woodward will become their new temporary home until they find the special person/s. Thank you all so much, all your help is very much appreciated!! xoxo Kim and the 5 beautiful boys

donations needed for 16 week old kittens tests and to go to rescue
Two weeks ago a friend of mine called from the YMCA that there was an abandoned mom and her 5 babies there and the director had already called animal control. I rushed over and we were able to get all 5 kittens and trapped the mom that night. Since I already have 5 cats and a feral that I care for (and an allergic husband) I had to put them in a large kennel in my garage while trying to make arrangements for them. I have only had the funds to feed them and give them all Capstar twice but this past week I was fortunate enough to find a WONDERFUL rescue that will take them if they test negative for FIV/FeLV. I already brought them there last Friday for their first vaccinations and am scheduled to bring them back on November 11th for their tests. They only accept cash and I need to try and raise donations for their test ($15 each x 5 + $75) and a $150 donation for the litter to the rescue. I wish I had tons of money for this but I just don't. I am a stay at home mom and right now feeding 12 cats it draining me completely. Any help for these very lucky kittens would be greatly appreciated. They will also spay the mom for me but sadly cannot accept her so once she is spayed the beautiful tortie mom will also be looking for a home of her own. Please feel free to email me with any questions or for photos of the 5 boys (yes a litter of all boys!). Please crosspost and thank you very much!
